The reason for this association is to create a sense of pride and tradition that the baseball team is to Robinson High School and to the community. The history of Robinson baseball has been a fixture in the South Tampa community for many years. Numerous players have been drafted by major league teams, received college baseball scholarships, or achieved other successes in life. This association will help the financial needs to buy baseballs, shoes, jackets, equipment, etc. It will also put money back into the association for the alumni to have a special day for them at the ballpark. We are going to have an alumni day recognizing all former players and coaches from Robinson High School along with a lunch and a baseball game between the alumni and the current team. We are committed to make this an annual event. Other high schools in the county have an alumni baseball association. The county has a budget for each sport and it is not enough to help cover the cost.
